Thrifty Thursdays: Gym Clothes

I have been wanting to get motivated to exercise...I know I should look at the mirror and get motivated :) but it is very hard to do. House work, homeschooling, moving, packing, cooking, etc... takes away the motivation to get up even earlier to exercise. Anyway...I heard somewhere that some times the way you dress helps you to motivate yourself to get up and exercise, so I decided to go to Kolh's and find something that is cute and good to exercise in.

This is what I found:

- Apt. 9 gray tank top regular price $18.00 on clearance for $1.80

- Simply Vera: Vera Wang pink leggings regular price $36.00 on clearance for $3.60

$$ Explanation

Subtotal: regular price $54.00 on clearance for $5.40 plus tax $.46

Total: $5.86

So, I got one cute exercise outfit for a total of $5.86, which is an average of $2.93 per clothing item. Not bad! :)

Now all I need is to find an exercise routine to wear my new outfit. I will post more about this in a later post.

Thanks for stopping by!

What have you found at Kolh's recently?

Thrifty Thursdays: Jeans

Today's Thrifty Thursday is about jeans.

I took my car to have the battery checked at Sears and while I was there, they gave me a $5 off of a $25 purchase. I decided to see if they had any good deals. Since I am a member of their reward points program I had some that I needed to use soon.  My Dad mention the other day that he needed to buy some jeans so I decided to look for some while I was there. This is what I found:

I found 3 pairs of jeans.

Lee Brand Jeans Black regular price $36.00 on clearance for $9.99

Lee Brand Jeans Dark Blue regular price $36.00 on sale for $27.99

Levi Brand Jeans Blue regular price $58.00 on clearance for $19.97

$$ Explanation:

Subtotal: regular price $130.00 on clearance/sale for $57.95 minus $5 (coupon) minus $6.45 (reward points) plus tax $3.84

Total: $50.33

So, for $50.33, I got my dad 3 pair of jeans for $16.77 each.

Not bad at all!!! Jeans are always so expensive, so these were very good prices!

Mix & Match Monday: Tim Holtz Retractable Knife & Paper Distresser

For today's Mix & Match Monday I am going to show you a couple of things I found at Hobby Lobby.

I had heard wonderful things about the Tim Holtz retractable craft knife and Tim Holtz brand in general. I had not had a chance to look for it at Hobby Lobby, so when I did, I actually found it on clearance for $2.15. I was so excited when I saw that it was 60% off! so I bought it :) If  you were to buy it on Tim Holtz website, the price is $6.29 so the one at Hobby Lobby was 65% off. I also realized that Hobby Lobby is always anywhere between 5% and 20% cheaper than buying new items online, so if there is a Hobby Lobby close to you, I highly recommend you go there first.

Then, on the same Clearance rack, I found this Thread Cutting Tool. When I saw it, the first thing I thought was ... It looks just like Tim Holtz paper distresser tool, so I bought it as well because it was only $1.07. It was also more than 60% off from its reagular price of $2.99. It you compare this tool with the original Tim Holtz tool, it was 80% off from the online price of $6.29 and 78% off from Hobby Lobby price of $4.99.

So in other words, my Mix & Match Tim Holtz Tools include: Tim Holtz Craft Knife and Tim Holtz paper distresser like tool for $3.22 which is 70% off if I would have bought these items at regular price at Hobby Lobby and 75% off if I would have bought them online.
Anyway...I am very excited about these tools. I will use them sometime soon and I will let you know how they work!

Here is my YouTube video about this post :)
